Accessibility Statement

Accesserty is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply the relevant accessibility standards. Accessibility is part of our mission: we build tools that help others meet accessibility goals, and we hold our own website to the same standard.

Measures to support accessibility

Accesserty takes the following measures to ensure the accessibility of accesserty.com:

  • Include accessibility as a core part of our mission and product design.
  • Build the site with our own design system, Accesserty UI Kit, whose components ship with accessible semantics, keyboard support, and focus management.
  • Check our own pages with Accesserty DevCheck and axe-core, alongside manual keyboard checks. Automated checks do not replace screen-reader testing or testing real tasks.
  • Provide a keyboard skip link and visible focus indicators.
  • Offer the site in Traditional Chinese and English with correct language metadata.

Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. They define three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.

accesserty.com is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 level AA. "Partially conformant" means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard. We are actively working toward full WCAG 2.2 level AA conformance across the site.

  • A screen reader compatible with your operating system, such as NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, or TalkBack.

These are compatibility targets, not confirmation that every browser and assistive-technology combination has been tested across the site. If you encounter a problem, please tell us your browser, assistive technology, and the steps affected.

Technical specifications

Accessibility of accesserty.com relies on the following technologies to work with your browser and any assistive technologies:

  • HTML

  • SVG

These technologies are relied upon for conformance with the accessibility standards used.

Limitations and alternatives

Despite our best efforts to ensure the accessibility of accesserty.com, some limitations may exist. Below is a description of known limitations and potential solutions. Please contact us if you observe an issue not listed.

  • The interactive Playground is maintained by us. Its previews demonstrate component styles and some interactions; they do not establish that every environment has been tested. If the settings or preview are difficult to operate, please tell us the component and steps involved.
  • Charts and summaries: if a text or table explanation is missing or unclear, please contact us for help understanding the content you are entitled to view. This does not make other users’ or websites’ private data public.

Assessment approach

Accesserty uses self-evaluation with Accesserty DevCheck, axe-core, and manual keyboard checks. This is not independent certification or a statement that every page and assistive-technology combination has passed testing. Site-wide screen-reader verification is not complete.
